    Steve Fettig of Just Wind, Napoleon, met with the county commissioners last Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the regular Logan County Commissioners meeting. Fettig discussed some of the changes for the gravel roads Just Wind will build and use for wind tower equipment movement and cement trucks to access the towers.

    This was a common phrase re-affirmed at the community update meeting for JustWIND held last Thursday at the Napoleon American Legion Hall. Owner of JustWIND, Jeff Metzger apologized to the crowd of about 130 JustWIND investors and other interested persons, for the length of time since an update meeting was held for the community. As for the wind project, Metzger said, "Nothing has changed, we're going to build our wind farm here in Napoleon."
  8. Just Wind is finalizing agreement with WAPA

    EMMONS COUNTY -- Karen Radzykewycz of Billings, Mont., Public Utilities Specialist for Western, said the agreement is a five-year contract under which Western would purchase 100 megawatts per year from JustWIND. She said the major part of the agreement, the price of the electricity generated by JustWIND, has been completed and that attorneys for the two entities are working out various other details before the agreement can be signed.

The Mound resident started the wind farm development company JustWIND last year and his first project, the Logan County Wind Farm, will soon rise out of the ground in the sparsely populated city of Napoleon, N.D.
  10. PSC Gives Just Wind The Green Light

    The North Dakota Public Service Commission has given the JustWIND Company the approval to build a 153 wind turbine farm near Napoleon. The PSC has questions on the proposed locations of 6 of the turbines which were not at least 1,400 feet away from homes and buildings. Logan County setback requirements are 750 feet and the PSC had said at one point the towers should be at least 1,000 feet from homes and buildings.
